This is my entry for the Uplift Challenge made in PS CS3 and some textures are made in Modo.

The story:
She's holding in her hands two new lives that are growing in her womb...
Smiling to his beloved husband she's trying to imagine how they look like, if they are similar to her or if they will have father's eyes.
She knows that these children are part of a big future for humanity and they will love each other for the rest of their lives because they are brothers and that's the important thing.

This is a painting based on a legend of a medieval ghost.
In the legend a little albinistic girl disappears playing in the castle cellar and since that moment become a ghost of that castle.
But I didn't want to paint her as a ghost but want to see her grown as a young lady that lives in the shadows of her castle.
The light sting her eyes and causes her pain... but she'd like to stay out there in the sunlight.

Hi everyone,
I'm posting my last work, it's an attempt to achieve a good realistic result in 3d taking as reference a photo ---> link to the photo.

The scene is quite simple because it has few elements, but it was tricky setup the waves and the lighting.
The wood texture is from null institute library that comes with modo.
Following the wireframe scene with some detail on noise setup:

For the lighting I've use a pink directional light and the gradient of the environment.

This was my image for a 3d contest in the italian forum Treddi.com.
Theme of the contest was "the Time" so I decided to represent it with a guardian that hold a special hourglass, in it past and future of the environment for the nowaday society.
Technically speaking, this 3d image was a good goal for me of using modo 301 in many feature it has..
I made some post production in PS CS3 for make the volumetric effect in the the hourglass.

this is my last "quick" portrait
it's Eve in earth paradise on the way for the first sin..
it's been a challenge for preparing the skin tones and for all those leaves
the fun part was the snake
a photo reference of Milla Jovovich was used for the first draft.

Hi there!
this is my last 3d model
it was started in Modo 203 and finished in Modo 301.
The texturing and displacement was done within Modo.
The final composition and the blurred background was made in PS because of my pc that is only a pIII and very slow in rendering SSS and DOFs.
The inspiration came from a photo on the web and I realized a cartoonish model... I really love the frogs when they are so coloured and shiny

A few hours portrait of Natalie Portman on PS.
I tried to keep the same look of the eyes but adding some more sparkles of light and colour.
Considered the low resolution and the final quality it was just an exercise for practising with the skin colours.

An elf who is pointing her javelin to a possible menace. She's taking time for deciding if you're dangerous or not.

Her right hand caused me so many nightmares and it's not yet ok, but I hope it's not so relevant.

This is the portrait of a friend when he was a child.
I made all in illustrator, trying to use gradient mesh at my best..
This was the first time I used gradient mesh for drawing a complete face (only eyes and eyelashes are added on).

I started with artrage2 and then completed and adjusted in Photoshop CS2

The proportions are not correct (big eyes and small hand) but it was made quickly

This is a comic strip made in 3dsmax for last Xmas contest on the italian website www.treddi.com. The composition was made on Illustrator.
It shows the modern difficulties that Santa could find nowadays in his special job... but he finds weird solutions
Sorry but there's only an italian version of the lettering.

Hi all! I'm back with a vector artwork made in Illustrator.
I started with making the face without a specific reference, but I had in mind the expression of Medusa painted by Caravaggio.
The body and the scenery was suggested by the hot summer I'm living here in Italy (I wanna holiday!! )

A naif picture on a Cat that is waiting for his lunch
I used a lot of personal scatter brushes for the fur and the grass.
It all started by drawing a fast sketch of the cat and detailing the eyes , very intense as they are when the cat is hunting.

It is an exercise on composition and style.
I started with Artrage because it gives me a full sensation of painting, after a good level of detail I passed all in PS for the finishing and the calibration of colors ( I love colors!!)

I also add the reference images (sorry I forgot always to do that)
I remark that this is not a paintover...I painted all freehand, so I disappoint that has be decided that this drawing cannot go to the gallery.
I also posted the reference and you can see that it's not a retouch of the fotos...

Few words for this work..
it's a subject that catched all my attention when I saw it in a photo so I decided to make a portrait.
I'm not sure of the result but for the moment it's the best I can, it's the last work made 99 % with a mouse.
I'll be glad to receive critics and comments as always.

A total invented picture... no refs on anykind for the human figure, only one for wings.
I used different brushes and a wacom tablet for reach this result.
The anatomy is not correct as you can see :P but the feeling that the image gives is my best result..

Hi there!
this picture started as a scratch and just for exercise (that's the reason of the "small" size)
It has grown in about a month in the spare time.
She's full of imperfections, shoulders too small, face is not proportioned.. and many other you will find for sure and I'm waiting for know what's wrong (don't be too cruel)
